The program is designed to be very simple in appearance and functionality. MKV Player is a single window with playback buttons and a timetable to move throughout the video. The buttons are not standard, that include the words instead of the typical symbols - which means you see "Play" instead of the traditional right arrow.
MKV player settings, and is a little 'hard to use. They are hidden in drop-down menu below the video screen, and only you can change the speed of the video, the delay of subtitles, and the file association. There is no equalizer or video effects, such as to find the VLC Media Player. The program has not been documented.
If playback of audio and video is all you need to do, MKV player is enough. If you are looking for a sophisticated piece of software, with more options and tools, you may need to look elsewhere.
